Artwork

OK, so, I'll probably take a lot of flack for this, at least from close friends(who are probably the only people who are reading this anyway, if even them) but, here goes.

People who know me know that I'm not very good when it comes to art. I mean, I can look at some things, and say I like it or I don't, but I'm not one to sit there and try to pull out those "hidden inner meanings" that the artist was projecting when he put that be red circle exactly 3.458 inches from the morth western corner of his canvus. I'm one who gets lost in an art museum half the time thinking, "How much longer does she want to stay here?"

I do have some artists that I like, and I might recognise their work if I saw it, but, I dunno, its just not my thing. My one variance to museams is I love photography, and these I can look at for some time.

But overall, there is one piece of artwork, style, whatever, that I think is the most astounding ever created. And that is a woman.

Now, I'm not trying to be sexist or anything here. And I am not talking about just one woman in particular. I just think, that there is nothing out there that can compare to the female form. It is artistic perfection.

Take a look at all artworks that are devoted to women. Now, I'm not gonna sit here and list any, like I said, I'm not an art aficionado. But we all know, there are a lot of great works that try to capture this perfection.

Now, there are limits to this. I don't mistake porn for art. While I am guilty(as all of us are) of watching some porn here or there, or pulling up pics on the web, to capture a woman as art, there has to be some taste.

And there is taste in nudity. And in erotic works. Again, I do not believe that woman was created to hide her beauty from the world. These bible beaters and purists who believe in screwing through sheets be damned, there is no sin in displaying ones body. Hell, if this country were a little more sexually liberated, we wouldn't have near the number of sex crimes as we do.

I try to use my camera whenever possible. Its been sitting around for a while this summer, collecting dust. But I will be breaking it out again soon. I've had the urge to shoot again. And yes, I would like to shoot a woman. No, not nude-- I know I would never find someone around here that would pose in the buff, not at this stage in my photography career at any point. I just...see the posibilities that could be there, and I have some ideas that I haven't seen used before, and would like to try to express them someday. and no, I'm not going to tell you them now, because I don't want them stolen. sorry.

Now, before you say I'm sexist, or some shit like that. I admit, I enjoy looking at a womans body. Hell, any straight man would be lying if he told you otherwise. But I do believe in a persons mind before beauty, and that there has to be some sort of mental connection for a relationship to work. Over time, beauty will age, and fade. A mind is forever.

So think about it sometime. Women are a great work of art, the greatest in creation. Why go to the museam, when you can see art walking past you, each and every day.
